How to Track Every F1 Team's Upgrades, Race by Race (2026)
You can see every F1 team's upgrades for each race weekend on Pit Trace. The rows come from the FIA car-presentation documents teams declare for that weekend, and each row links to its FIA document.
FIA car-presentation documents
Each race weekend the FIA publishes a car-presentation document. Teams declare the new or revised parts they will run. Pit Trace keeps those lines as confirmed FIA upgrade rows, by team and by race weekend.
The season index of those rows is Tech / Updates. Charts there drill into the same cards.
The document is explained under FIA car presentation.
PU element reports and PU grid
FIA power-unit element reports list how many engine elements each driver has used against the season limit. That table is separate from the car-presentation upgrades.
PU grid: allocation grid-place penalties, confirmed by FIA steward Decision or Infringement documents under sporting article B8.2.8. Estimates on PU / Elements are labeled Inferred +N, Over limit +N, or Inferred PU grid.
Season allocation is on PU / Elements. The race weekend PU tab shows new elements and any confirmed PU grid rows.
Allocation and PU grid are explained under power-unit elements.
Parc fermé changes and steward start penalties
Parc fermé changes (locked-car swaps) are the parts and parameters changed after the car is locked. They are a change log for that weekend.
Steward start penalties (pit-lane / technical start sanctions) come from steward Decision or Infringement documents. Start penalties and PU grid penalties are separate records.
Those records are explained under parc fermé and Start.
Organized by race weekend
Pit Trace files car-presentation upgrades, PU elements, PU grid, parc fermé changes, and steward start penalties under the race weekend they belong to. Open the current race weekend to see its rows. Each row links to its FIA document.
Other places to look
The FIA documents site publishes the car-presentation, power-unit, parc fermé, and steward PDFs these rows come from.
Race-weekend news recaps cover the same events in prose. On Pit Trace, news appears only as a labeled reported overlay. Confirmed rows are the FIA lines.
