## Confirmed FIA upgrades

### R01: Australian Grand Prix

https://pit-trace.com/races/race-2026-01

- Front Wing (Performance, Local Load): The newly introduced SM Adjuster is positioned on the centerline beneath the nose and actuates both flap elements. The geometries have been optimized to deliver high load in Corner Mode and reduced drag in Straight Mode.

- Front Wing Endplate (Performance, Flow Conditioning): The endplate is engineered for optimal tyre-wake control, incorporating a high-mounted diveplane and a channelled footplate to enhance local flow conditioning and improve downstream aerodynamic flow.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_australian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Beam Wing (Performance, Local Load): The 2026 rear-structure geometry is deliberately simplified in compliance with the regulatory constraints. The beam wing is aligned with the incoming flow and functions primarily as a structural and aerodynamic interface, supporting both the floor assembly and the upper rear-wing system.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_australian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Diffuser (Performance, Local Load): The 2026 diffuser incorporates a single primary fence per side, while the FIA-mandated outboard devices:previously mounted to the rear corner assemblies up to 2025:are now integrated directly into the outboard diffuser structure. The central expansion volume extends laterally alongside the rear impact structure, maximising underfloor mass-flow extraction and enhancing the diffuser’s overall pressure-recovery efficiency.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_australian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Floor Edge (Performance, Flow Conditioning): The floor edge incorporates a multi-slot geometry combined with an upper fence, engineered to mitigate tyre-contact-patch:induced pressure losses and reinforce the robustness of the floor’s sealing vortex system. This configuration enhances shear-layer stability, preserves underfloor mass-flow continuity, and reduces the susceptibility of the diffuser to wake-related load drop-off.

- Floor Body (Performance, Local Load): The 2026 floor architecture features a predominantly flat underbody, with only a limited allowance for front inboard devices and a floorboard as defined by the regulations. Our geometry incorporates a substantial vertical vane to condition and manage the tyre-wake structures, complemented by a series of horizontal aerofoils that promote localised load extraction. This combination enhances vortex stability, preserves floor sealing, and improves the underfloor mass-flow distribution.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_australian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Rear Wing (Performance, Local Load): Haas employs a three-element upper rear-wing assembly, with the SM mechanism providing simultaneous actuation of both flap elements. The mainplane is configured with a relatively low camber, while the flap cluster adopts an aggressive geometry to maximise downforce generation in Corner Mode (CM). In Straight Mode (SM), the system targets a substantial drag reduction by unloading the flap pair and exploiting the flat mainplane to minimise pressure-drag contribution

  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_canadian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf

- RIS Fairings (Performance, Local Load): Additional device on RIS top surface An additional aerodynamic device was installed downstream of the exhaust tailpipe, with the primary objective of encouraging local upwash and consequently enhancing the generation of localized downforce in that region.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_monaco_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Rear Wing (Performance, Local Load): SM Fairing geometry change A minor revision to the RW SM fairing aimed at inducing localized upwash, providing a small but beneficial contribution to meeting the circuit’s high downforce demands.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_monaco_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Front Suspension (Performance, Mechanical Setup): Front Trackrod position A slight modification to the front trackrod geometry was required in order to comply with the specific steering angle demands imposed by the characteristics of this circuit.

  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_austrian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Cooling Louvres (Circuit specific, Cooling Range): Additional Gill option The circuit-specific operating conditions required an additional increase in cooling capacity, achieved through the introduction of two additional apertures on the upper surface of the sidepod.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_austrian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
