## Confirmed FIA upgrades

### R01: Australian Grand Prix

https://pit-trace.com/races/race-2026-01

- Sidepod Inlet (Performance, Flow Conditioning): This creates a large undercut volume underneath that leads into the rest of the bodywork. The inlet is sized to capture the massflow required to provide sufficient cooling. Externally flow is managed to the coke and deck.

- Diffuser (Performance, Local Load): The diffuser extends rearward from the flat floor and carries the diffuser winglet defined by the regulations. A single fence is positioned within the diffuser. The purpose of the diffuser is to manage the expansion of the flow from beneath the floor creating load on the lower surface. The winglet is adapted to the local flowfield to maximise performance.

- Front Wing (Performance, Local Load): The wing is mounted to the nose from the second element. SM is achieved with a moveable third element. The front wing optimises spanwise loading whilst delivering the required aerobalance range, which is achieved varying incidence of the rear element.

- Coke/Engine Cover (Performance, Local Load): The top deck slopes down towards the rear of the car, with cooling exits more centrally on the engine cover. The purpose of the bodywork is to manage flow from the new front end regulations.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_australian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Rear Wing (Performance, Local Load): The rwd two elements are activated in SM mode, reducing their incidence. In CM the rear wing is optimised to provide maximum load while remaining stable and consistent. The SM deployment angle is defined to reduce drag as much as possible.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_australian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Nose (Performance, Local Load): Pylons are attached to the nose the front wing from which the front wing is mounted. The volume of the nose is created to guide the upstream flow around the central front wing elements and manage the upwash from the wing.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_australian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Front Wing Endplate (Performance, Flow Conditioning): The front wing endplate manages the circulation at the tip of the wing and positions downstream features around the front tyre.

  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_japanese_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Front Wing Endplate (Performance, Local Load): In conjunction with the front wing change the modifications improve the load distribution at the outboard end of the wing.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_japanese_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Front Wing (Performance, Local Load): In conjunction with the front wing endplate change the modifications improve the load distribution at the outboard end of the wing.

### R06: Monaco Grand Prix

https://pit-trace.com/races/race-2026-06

- Tailpipe (Performance, Local Load): The updated exhaust tailpipe bracket is used to generate additional local load on the surfaces at the rear of the car.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_monaco_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Cooling Louvres (Circuit specific, Cooling Range): Additional bodywork louvres may be added to increase the exit area of the bodywork to provide the cooling level required at this event.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_monaco_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Front Suspension (Performance, Mechanical Setup): This is the typical front suspension adjustment for this circuit to achieve the required steering range for the prevalent corner characteristics.

- Diffuser (Performance, Local Load): Changes to the main diffuser, fences and winglet.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Floor Edge (Performance, Local Load): The foot/board and the area in front of the rear tyre have been modified.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Front Corner (Performance, Local Load): The new front brake duct external elements work alongside the new front wing to manage flow around the front wheels.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Beam Wing (Performance, Local Load): Change in twist distribution of the rear wing brace.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Coke/Engine Cover (Performance, Local Load): Relative subtle changes to the shape of the bodywork
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Floor Fences (Performance, Local Load): Updated floor leading edge vanes.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Floor Body (Performance, Local Load): Changes to all of the permitted surfaces of the floor. All floor changes are developed as a package to increase the load on the floor and therefore improve the car performance.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Cooling Louvres (Performance, Local Load): Conceptually similar cooling panels. The louvres provide the usual range of options to allow the setup of the cooling system for optimum performance depending on conditions.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Front Wing (Performance, Local Load): Revised front view and planview with chord redistribution. The front wing, endplate and nose are a package to improve the performance of the front end of the car in combination with the other car updates.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Rear Suspension (Performance, Local Load): The rear suspension and rear brake ducts modifications were developed with each other and the changes to the rear of the floor.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
- Rear Wing (Performance, Local Load): The three components of the rear wing increase CM load while reducing SM drag, and are aligned with other changes to the rear of the car.
  Source: https://www.fia.com/system/files/decision-document/2026_hungarian_grand_prix_-_car_presentation_submissions.pdf
